48 hours wandering the coastal land of Phu Yen

As a coastal province in the South Central Coast region, Phu Yen has three sides bordered by mountains and a diverse system of rivers, lagoons, bays, islands…

Below is a two-day itinerary for visitors to Phu Yen.

Day 1: Move to Phu Yen

If traveling from Saigon, you can catch a bus at Mien Dong bus station at 5:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. to arrive in Phu Yen early in the morning.

If traveling from Hanoi, you will have to travel a further distance of about 1,250 km, total travel time is 26 hours, average ticket price is 1,300,000 VND round trip.

You will arrive around 5:00 or 5:30, arrange, check your belongings and start your exploration.

Have breakfast with fresh squid porridge hotpot – a coastal specialty.

Dai Lanh (or Mui Dien) has very beautiful sandy slopes.

At 10:00, pass Ca Pass and see Vung Ro Bay

On the way back to Tuy Hoa, you can stop to admire Vung Ro Bay and hear more about the Ho Chi Minh Trail at sea.

11:00 return to Tuy Hoa for lunch

Phu Yen specialties have attractive dishes such as chicken rice, tuna, oyster porridge, chive soup… You should also try apricot fish salad, squid vermicelli or other fresh seafood.

2:00 p.m. visit Nhan mountain

This is a mountain about 60 m high above sea level, from a distance it looks like a swallow spreading its wings to fly.

4:00 p.m. wandering around Tuy Hoa city

The afternoon is a good time to go enjoy the sea breeze.

6:00 p.m. Continue to explore dinner cuisine

If you don’t want to eat a full meal but are looking for regional specialties, try going along the beach to choose grilled seafood dishes, don’t miss ocean tuna – a famous dish associated with Phu Yen.

8pm walk

After dinner, the place to relax is the Sky Lounge on the rooftop of Cendeluxe hotel.

9:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. Return to hotel to rest

7:00 am Have breakfast at restaurants near the beach or along the road

You continue to go to roadside shops to enjoy hot delicious dishes of Phu Yen.

8:00am depart north of Tuy Hoa and visit Ganh Da Dia

This is one of the most famous landscapes of Phu Yen.

11:00am visit Mang Lang church

This is one of the oldest ancient churches in Vietnam, located on the banks of Ky Lo River (local people call it Cai River).

1pm go to lunch

To facilitate travel and save time, you can prepare food to bring with you such as bread, mineral water, canned food…

2:00 p.m. Visit O Loan Lagoon
