Nanocovax is a Covid-19 vaccine researched and developed by Nanogen Company.

Lieutenant General, Professor Do Quyet, Director of the Military Medical Academy, Ministry of National Defense affirmed that phase one trial results show that the Nanocovax vaccine is safe, has no serious events, produces antibodies, and has the ability to prevent disease.

In phase two, the research team will evaluate immune indicators more closely to test the vaccine’s ability to respond.

The second phase of the vaccine trial was designed to be double-blind, randomized and with placebo comparison, to evaluate the safety and immune response of 3 vaccine doses of 25 mcg, 50 mcg and 75 mcg.

According to the Ministry of Health, phase two is stratified into two age groups: those from 18 to 60 years old and those over 60 years old.

Based on the research proposal approved by the National Ethics Council, the Ministry of Health will organize a working group to monitor the entire trial implementation process, to ensure absolute safety for the patients.

`According to preliminary assessment, antibodies produced from the vaccine can fight the British strain of nCoV. We will further evaluate this issue in phase three,` Lieutenant General Do Quyet said.
