Compared to other places, Southeast Asia is considered one of the poor regions of Asia and Internet speed is not really high.

For a region with many islands like Southeast Asia, satellite Internet has a clear advantage, as the Philippines currently has more than 7,000 islands.

Currently, Elon Musk’s company’s service reaches download speeds of 100 to 200 MB/s, higher than regular Internet services in the area.

Southeast Asians also spend a lot of time online.

The Philippines is one of the countries supporting satellite Internet.

However, one of the obstacles when deploying satellite Internet is cost.
