‘Tan Son Nhat airport area will be less congested if a section of road is removed’

Currently, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport is planning to expand old routes and build some new routes to reduce traffic congestion in the gateway area of Tan Son Nhat airport.

Therefore, researching to reorganize traffic appropriately to reduce traffic congestion in this area is something that can be done immediately and at the least cost.

As someone who often passes through the Tan Son Nhat airport area, I see that Phan Thuc Duyen street (the section across Hoang Van Thu park) is one of the causes of congestion because it causes major traffic conflicts.

If you boldly remove this section of road, return the land to the park, and at the same time expand Phan Dinh Giot street and Hoang Van Thu street (the section from the intersection with Nguyen Van Troi street to the Lang Cha Ca intersection), encroach a little.

If this is done, there will be a very beautiful road from the center to the airport and vice versa, all types of vehicles can circulate in two directions, including: Nguyen Van Troi – Phan Dinh Giot – Truong Son.

Vehicles traveling from Tan Son Nhat airport to the center of District 1 will no longer have to go around Tran Quoc Hoan street through Lang Cha Ca intersection to get to Hoang Van Thu – Nguyen Van Troi intersection.

Because Hoang Van Thu street has become two-way, vehicles traveling from District 1 and Phu Nhuan district to Tan Binh district will go on Hoang Van Thu street without having to go around Phan Thuc Duyen street as before.
