`Several countries have approached us to ask for information. I believe there will be more deals on the Arrow air defense system, especially after the special performance we just showed,` Boaz Levy, CEO

Mr. Levy mentioned the incident where Iran launched more than 170 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), 120 ballistic missiles and 30 cruise missiles on the night of April 13 against many targets in Israel, in response to Tehran’s consulate.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that they and their partners have successfully taken down 99% of the projectiles launched by Iran.

Israeli forces intercepted Iranian missiles and UAVs on the night of April 13.

IAI CEO said that Iran’s coordinated raid motivated the group to increase production of current Arrow systems and promote development of the new generation version Arrow-4 to replace the Arrow-2 line.

`We are accelerating the development process toward production. This is being done in full cooperation with Israeli security agencies and the US Missile Defense Agency,` he said.

Levy also said that the Arrow system has the same price as similar air defense complexes in the world, and is even cheaper.

Arrow is the upper layer of Israel’s multi-layered air defense network.

The Arrow-2 variant has been deployed by the Israeli military for many years and is capable of intercepting ballistic missiles from long distances.

The Israeli Air Force received the Arrow 3 system in January 2017.

With the approval of the United States, the partner in this weapon development project, Israel last year agreed to sell $3.5 billion worth of Arrow complexes to Germany, marking the largest arms sale ever.

The information was released in the context that Germany and its European neighbors are boosting defense spending in response to the conflict in Ukraine.

CEO Levy revealed that it took them nearly two years to negotiate the deal with Germany and current deals may take the same amount of time before being completed.
